Ina
Ina is a 1982 Malayalam film directed by I. V. Sasi. The film explores teen lust, child marriage and the consequences. It stars Master Raghu and Devi in the lead roles, while Kanchana, Rasheed and B. K. Pottekkadu play major supporting roles. The film received strongly positive reviews upon release. It was a bold attempt in Malayalam cinema, and is regarded as a trendsetter movie. Its basic story is inspired from the classic The Blue Lagoon .
Padayottam
Padayottam is a 1982 Indian Malayalam-language epic period drama film directed by Jijo Punnoose and produced by Navodaya Appachan under Navodaya Studio. It is loosely based on the novel The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. The film stars Prem Nazir, Madhu, Thikkurissy Sukumaran Nair, Poornima Jayaram, Mammootty, Mohanlal, Shankar, and Lakshmi. It was the first Indian film to be indigenously shot in the 70 mm film format.
Aarambham
Aarambham is a 1982 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Joshiy and produced by Thiruppathi Chettiyar. Aarambham was another multi-star movie from director Joshiy, with stars Prem Nazir, Madhu, Sukumaran, M. G. Soman, K. P. Ummer, Srividya, Sumalatha and Rajalakshmi in the lead roles. The film has musical score by unusually using four music directors, namely Shyam, A. T. Ummer, K. J. Joy and Shankar Ganesh, each of whom directed one song each. Aarambham was released in Onam festival along with Padayottam. Aarambham was the top grosser Malayalam movie in 1982, surpassing Padayottam. Aaramabham was later remade in Hindi by Joshiy himself in 1984, called Dharm Aur Qanoon, with an ensemble cast and in Tamil too as Ezhuthatha Sattangal. The Tamil version was directed by veteran director K. Shankar, with Sivaji Ganesan in the lead role. Both movies became huge hits in their respective markets.
Preeyasakhi Radha
Preeyasakhi Radha is a 1982 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed by K. P. Pillai and produced by Ambalathara Divakaran. The film stars Lakshmi, Prathap Pothen, M. G. Soman and Priya. The film's score was composed by V. Dakshinamoorthy.

Post Mortem is a 1982 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed by J. Sasikumar and produced by Pushparajan. The film stars Prem Nazir, Mammootty, Sukumaran and Balan K. Nair. The film's score was composed by KJ Joy. The film was remade in Tamil as Vellai Roja and in Telugu as S. P. Bhayankar. Vellai Roja went on to be remade in Kannada as Dharmathma in 1988 and also remade in Hindi as Tahqiqaat in 1993.
John Jaffer Janardhanan
John Jaffer Janardhanan is a 1982 Malayalam movie directed by I. V. Sasi, written by T. Damodaran, starring Ratheesh, Ravindran and Mammootty. It was a remake of the 1977 blockbuster Hindi movie Amar Akbar Anthony, which in turn was remade in Tamil as Shankar Salim Simon in 1978, directed by P. Madhavan, later remade in Telugu as Ram Robert Rahim in 1980, directed by Vijaya Nirmala. The film is regarded as a super hit film of the early eighties.
